ADDITION Chest on
Chest of Drawers, It has a marked drawer and the stamped
info says
"Rufus Pierce", cabinet maker, 17 Market
street, Boston. It's early Boston, orig'l brasses, orig'l
finish. The consignor thinks it dates to 1810-1815.
Bowfront with biscuit corners on main case
and hanky drwrs. Also we have found four GREAT early
glass candy containers. The "Sparky" is circa
1902 and was an early cartoon character. (PICTURES BELOW)
Period flame mahogany 9 drawer, tall chest, mahogany
sideboard, early pine blanket chest with cotter pin
hinges, bamboo Windsor chairs, English school Nautical
oil paintings, Early American oil portraits (dated 1840),
Americana portraits & landscapes by Eckleberry, Ruhr,
& other local and Southern artists, early punched tin
lighting, early 2-piece dry sink cupboard with brass
hardware, hand wrought fireplace accessories, English
brass fireplace fender, pewter chargers and plates, Queen
Anne tilt-top candle stands, walnut turn top game tables,
walnut ogee framed mirrors, Federal style mirrors,
matched pair of cherry framed mirrors, poplar & oak
washstands, Seth Thomas mantle clock with reverse painted
front (comical cats chasing mice), New Haven banjo clock,
pine cased Hamilton grandfather clock, cherry cased
Whiting-Winchester grandfather clock, Hitchcock decorated
potty chair, old red/white coverlet, matched pair quilts,
8 x 10 Oriental rug, large oval hooked rug, Sheraton
camel back settee, large settle bench, cherry dropleaf
table, rope beds, twin size canopy beds, early maple bow
front chest, very interesting candy/ice cream mold (high
top laced shoes, hinged mold opens into three pieces),
good selection of flint points & stone tools, very
early Native American small clay pot, primitives, china
& glassware, advertising, boxed lots, rough
furniture.
